... make a living? Prices? Not better than we get at home ... bit disappointing really. We were hoping to snag a bargain. Oh well we couldn't really afford any more in the luggage from a weight pov anyway. Amazingly the place didn't open until 11am.
So, up at 5am for our 9am flight from Changi Airport to London - 13hours :( buts that another story .....

In summary, Singapore is lovely place ... we will ...

... seafoods and fish were on offer but there was also a surprising abundance of frogs. Big ones. The mind boggles as to where these would end up. We eventually waded out of there and wound our way up through the fashionable Ann Siang Rd where there are many contemporary bars and restaurants and the place had a bit of an edgy Darlinghurst vibe to it.

It was fairly hot and humid so following this walk we hunted down a massage venue with air con to relax for a while before ...

... flight was overbooked by about 9 seats and the flights for the next day were also heavily booked. We had to wait at check-in until the flight closed to see if there were 2 spare seats so at 2.15 we were advised there was 2 seats and although the cost to 'change flights' was $130 per person the lovely Sri Lankan staff reduced this to $80 per person. ... also do a little shopping, encountering a staggering tropical electrical storm on Orchard Road (fortunately we could continue mostly undercover!) ... ve got it? Ok nostalgic moment over-of course they have relish this is Orchard Road. Shoppers paradise- it's even worse than West Edmonton Mall. It's Singapore's version of Avenue des Champs Elysees except you never need to go outside. Each mall/store has multiple above and below ground levels. I think you could spend years just wandering around this area without ever feeling the sun on your skin. All of the shopping centres ...
