What do they all mean?

8 hours south of Lima lies the unassuming town of Nazca made famous, and a stop off on the gringo trail, by the huge ancient lines made in the desert by the Nazcas - a pre-Incan civilisation.

The town itself is pleasant enough but doesn't really have anything else to offer, besides some creepy mummies in a weird desert cemetery unearthed …

The Nazca Lines

... we could go somewhere so that I could practice my spanish with him, I politely declined.

Since finishing my tour I have visited the supermarket to buy snacks for my journey, have read a little, and talked to the hostel owner and her mum about my travels (in Spanish as the mum doesnt speak English). I still have another couple of hours until my bus leaves... I am a little bored of waiting but I have no option. My bus is overnight to Arequipa which will be my last stop in Peru!

Friendly place to stay in Nasca

Clean rooms and nice yard with hammocks and sofas, but the real draw of this place is the wonderfull staff. Owner Juan speaks excellent english, and is so helpful and friendly. He helped me so much with all the bookings for tours and busses (without being pushy about promoting the tours).
