I again was pretty much the only person there and they said that they weren't doing tours, but I expressed how much I would like to do one, so the girl serving the wines for tasting said she might be able to take me on a tour in a bit. So I sat down to the wineries reserve range of wines of a Malbec, Cabernet and Syrah, which were all yummy. Well once I pointed out that the Cabernet had either been open too ...

... Torrentinos, which turned out to be pretty good and well matched to our food. As we were leaving the vineyard, there were two little owls by the side of the road and we managed a quick photo or two before they flew of to the safety of the vines.

Back up the same side road, we stopped off to visit Tempus Alba, which had self guided tour of their facilities. It was quite unique and nice, especially because it was free. We did however pay 35 pesos each for their wine ...

... included a couple of tastings at the end. We then bought some bottles of wine and sat in the sun telling travel stories. This was the most normal winery that we went to. The next couple were only quite small. One was just a tasting in some guys garage, with a couple if guys bringing out the wines and food platters. ... and we are told where our bus would be leaving from. The bus duly arrives and we set off at seven fifty, just about five minutes late. Just in time to see a beautiful sunrise over the mountains. We really not sure how well the border crossing will go, but we've already been given some forms to fill in. After we leave the city the route starts to get very scenic, by ten o clock we are traveling through huge ravines alongside the Rio Blanco and surrounded by snow capped mountains ...
