We then tried a wine that had been in a barrel for 6 months and then the finished product when it was bottled and ready for distribution. The difference is huge, I am not a fan of red wine but the finished product was quite nice, but I couldn't drink a lot of it. ... much of a sunset. After riding, we had a BBQ and sat by the fire drinking lots of red wine. We were then dropped back to our hostel and as we still had 4 bottles of wine to drink (given to us over the last 2 days wine tasting), we invited the others to help drink the wine with us, plus another couple of people in our hostel. ... s infamous red wine! We'd been told that the best way to hire bikes and cycle to each bodega (vineyard). 'Mr Hugo' sorted the four of us (Jasper and Sean joined us) with some decent bikes and a map of the vineyards so we were all set.

... impressed with at this winery was the massive oak barrels that they would store the wine in to age! There was wine from 1977 ... unfortunately not on the tasting list though!! After this we had a lovely lunch at another winery, followed by a visit to the liquor shop with tastings of absinthe, whiskey and other delicious liquors! As well dulce de leche's and jams etc!
