Arriving in Fiji

A travel blog entry by lhughes

We found out whilst in New Zealand that Fiji's weather was terrible and a cyclone was just about to hit the islands! We weren't sure if the flight might be canceled but everything went ahead and we arrived in Fiji after a short 3 hour flight. The hike up to the village was in the mid day heat which was grueling but seeing the local village was worthwhile and ...

A travel blog entry by smittys

Bula (Hello/Welcome) from Figi!

The Figi islands are absolutely gorgeous but what really sets this country apart from other tropical vacation destinations is its people. The people are extremely warm, sincere and welcoming.
We stayed at a lovely, relaxing hotel and our stay was perfect except for our unexpected 3am wakeup "call" from a drunk woman who thought ...
