      ... coming towards us, tip the kayak and eat me alive! I honestly couldn't imagine getting back to the island in one piece. With no more movement we slowly put our paddles into the water and the further away we got from it the faster our paddles entered and left the water. The tide by this point was on our side so helped by pushing us further and further to safety, with both our hearts still in our mouths!       ... food - a night I'll not forget in a while. That night there was a quiz so we split into 2 teams and joined the other guests for that - pleased to report that our team won!! The prize was champagne, Fijian hats made of leaves and a luxury breakfast served the next morning on the beach.       ... We also learn from an announcement from the bridge that tonight there will be a total eclipse of the moon, and it is supposed to turn "blood red" when fully eclipsed. Murray takes several forays onto the promenade deck during the early night to get photos of the first bite taken out of the moon, then we go up to the top decks later to get photos of the fully eclipsed moon, definitely pink, but somewhat less than "blood" red.       ... for only $45 a night. It was only a short drive to the hotel and I had made sure the hotel knew I was coming in early so that had staff waiting to greet me.
