... are also selling it to tourists in hostels and we will be asking friends and family for support if they so wish. I canīt tell you how worth it is. It is what keeps me from insanity. Neuza and her selflessness. It is the most genuine and rare sentiment. She has nothing but gives all. Iīve said it before, but Iīll say it again. I never feel like there I am wasting my time. I learn so much morally, ethically and linguistically there about myself and the world as ...
Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil sarbs87... mountain. I ended up going to the botanical gardens, and having an amazing day, anyway. The botanical gardens were built at the end of the 1800s, and are truly magnificent. The park was empty, and I got to wander around, exploring the gardens, and the small, but very excellent, aquarium. I started to explore all of the trails that circumnavigate the the gardens, and before I knew it, I was climbing up a very steep hill. Being the curious guy that ...

... of the stars on the ceiling which we mostly slept through. We continued to meander along the roads of el centro, stopping for dinner (meat, rice, frijoles and chips and melon juice) and had dessert at Colombos, a well preserved cafe from the 1930s adorned with enormous mirrors that gave the illusion that it went on forever. We then stopped at a general store where we looked for havaneras and settled on Ipanemas -I can't believe how comfortable they are, because they ...
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil xtaWe woke up around 11 feeling pretty rough from the events of going big the night before. The girls who we went on the boat trip with had planned to do a īTop Tourī, taking a bus ride around the main attractions in Rio DeJaneiro. Alegra (the overly nice and somewhat condescending Hostel owner) made us promise we would go on the tour and told us to īRun straight down to the bank for money.ī so we did. This was a mission and a half which proved Egan had ...
Rio de Janeiro, State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil jrolfe... hands but with their feet and head like a game of football. With this in mind I went to catch a game at the Marancana, South America's largest football stadium seating over 110,000 spectators. Brazilian football defines the sport as "the beautiful game" with a fast pace and stunning skill and flair we were riveted for the whole 90 minutes and left with an understanding of why the South Americans love this game so much.
Rio de Janeiro, State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil jamesburfordBrazil's (and maybe the world's) most spectacular city with cliffs, mountains, deep-blue sea, white-sand beaches, skyscrapers, Christ the Redeemer and a lot of madness and samba mixed together like an Irish stew. But it definitely tastes better. Story on Rio de Janeiro
Rio de Janeiro, State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil heinlisenka... a mountain peak that on a clear day would lend itself to one of the best views of Rio. We had hoped to glimpse this famous view of this city by the sea, with its stacks of houses and buildings cascading down the mountain slopes to greet the water. Instead, fog, and lots of it. While we waited to see if some of the fog would burn off, we were entertained by a small band of Capuchin monkeys cavorting on the grounds, but ...
Rio de Janeiro, State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil marmotexpress... I'm probably saying "what, we're landing THERE?!"
I was really surprised how far out to sea we went before turning back in a smooth turn. I wonder how far out to sea you could go on one of these things...
We headed down to earth with some gentle corkscrew turns ...
