... better than the official rate, I get interested. I will certainly change $100 for 2,300 Czech Koruna! He pulls out two new 1,000 notes, a 200 plus a 100. I say: “Are these real.” He gets offended, and says: “Of course they are! I have been doing this for 45 years! Are your dollars real?” I accept this at face value (ba da boom), and without examining them thoroughly, I exchange the currency and go back to the restaurant.

... and we saw great views of he city and castle. We ended up eating at this nice place just down the hill from our hotel. Ezzie was not feeling well halfway through dinner, so he and I headed back to the hotel early. He got sick later that night and we weren't sure we would be traveling around the town the next day. ... year, but gets a break and only comes once a week while I am here. she was young and very nice, and tomorrow she is taking me down town so I can finally see Prague, get my train ticket, and help me navigate through this town. I am so excited because I feel like I will finally get to experience the real culture of this country, since I have really only seen it from a window. I will hopefully get some better pictures tomorrow and post them.

Prague Castle

Prague Castle is the official residence and office of the President of the Czech Republic, it dates back to the 9th century. The Habsburgs were involved later and many buildings were added through the centuries. (The Habsburgs are everywhere in this part of the world - note to self to learn more about them).

Bags to the bus at 830. This was the start of the day and after another awesome breakfast we were off to Prague! I sat with Jonathon from Perth and we watched the German countryside roll by. The group stopped at Dresden for lunch, an absolutely beautiful town that was almost levelled by the Allies at the end of WWII.
