We stayed in Celica Hostel which is in itself quite an experience having previously read about its history. The hostel was a converted prison, dating back from 1882, used by the Austrian Hungarian regime in WWI and still holding many details of the occurrences within. For 19.00 euro each, it had everything we needed..we certainly knew we were back in western Europe with those prices!
