Oh oh the beer the best ! Pilsner was invented here and is sooooo good . Good food David loved the pig shanks , the special Czech duck and dumpling . Me I am trying to keep to salad so I don't look like a dumpling .
... absolutely fantastic. They also served complimentary wine and continuously refilled it throughout the meal.
Tonight we will spend the rest of the evening in the lounge meeting more of our fellow passengers. I am definitely the youngest one on the boat- probably by about 20 years. I get the feeling I stand out quite a bit but that doesn't bother me.
Tomorrow is a tour of mid-evil Nuremberg, then at lunch we sail towards Regensberg!
... time exploring claustrophobic mines where children were employed, cutting away at the rock in these small caves at a rate of 1cm per day! In the evening we had another tasty Czech dish, Bramborak (potato pancakes). After dinner we walked to the nearest town where we met some locals at the pub. 18 crowns for a pint of beer ($NZ1.06). Tom who spoke German made a new best friend and exchanged addresses with a friendly local ...

But to be fair the town was a magnificient little czech beauty with its picturesque buldings painted red/ yellow/ green and pink. Beautiful architecture really.
We at least started the tour with good old Becherovka brewerie tour which included 3 morning shots to wake us up. That was rough haha!
In the end we ended up sitting in a park bathing in sun, enjoying the +10 degrees and drinking good cheap czech brews.
... in the Prague post, they drink a lot..). After coming back we all ended up talking and hanging out for another 4 or so hours. We watched a hockey game until we all fell asleep. The next morning we slept in and attended our host’s English class. We were his show-and-tell for the day. It was fun and interesting to be back in high school…
Eventually our time in Carlsbad was done and we grabbed a coffee and hoped on a bus heading back to Prague. ...
