A GREAT PLACE WITH THE NICEST PEOPLE! The staff speak English really well and are extremely helpful. We became friends right away. The pool in the back is an awesome hangout and the meals they prepare are delicious! i learned my first Portuguese words there and they've stuck forever
The rooms are clean, the showers work!

Could be a great hostel... Once renovations are finished.

I have very mixed feelings about this hostel. Some good points include a great kitchen, comfy beds, good bar area, very friendly staff. However, staff helped us organise our onward travel and gave us incorrect bus information meaning that our 15 hour onward journey to Bonito took 28 hours! Also, the hostel is undergoing a renovation which we weren't informed about. Noisy drilling and banging starting at 8.30am was annoying and areas of the hostel felt grubby because of the work they were undergoing. The freezing cold showers weren't ideal either.

Natural wonder of the world - argentinian side

Today we headed to the Argentinian side of iguazu falls. From this side you can walk on tracks all day getting right up close to the falls, including a train to the top of devils throat. We were lucky with the weather again, with it clearing up enough to get some pics with the sun and some rainbows. It was awesome to see the falls up close and get …

After 21 hours in the bus (of course it did have delays), me being hungry (the peanuts I've had wasn`t enough) and tired (2 nights in buses don`t provide me with quality sleep) plus getting a cold, I finally arrived.

This was the first time I haven`t booked anything in advance but I thought, other people do it all the time and they are …

Although you can sleep on the overnight buses, it's not a great sleep. So I arrived in Rodoviára Foz do iguaçu a little drowsy and aware that I had only $2.35R on me. As always there are only some banks that take my card and there were none in the train station. The bus from the main station to the town terminal was $2.85R!! After waiting for the …

We woke up this morning to a beautiful blue sky, perfect weather for our last morning in Brazil. Overall we have been pretty lucky with the weather, only having 3 rainy days in 3 weeks and an average temp of 30-35 degrees. After a leisurely breakfast, we packed up our tent, made our lunches and set off to the Argentinian border only 15 odd mins …

... next to on the bus told me that the current from the falls was so strong that the "red dirt" from Misiones went all the way down into the mar of Argentina and that that was why the water was brown, not because it was dirty. Good to know. Another important fact: In the providence of Misiones, there is some sort of misquito epidemic so it is very important to wear bug spary and to bring bug spary there because when you get there the bug spary will most likely be sold o
