The facilities at this hostel are great. Good cooking setup, lots of communal areas, air-con in the rooms, knowledgable staff and a pool to top it off. I would say to be careful of the cocktails though, they are much stronger than anywhere I've had them before. I was told they were made with 'love' - not sure what that means! Good location for all tours and access to local buses. Would recommend. Check your bill on leaving too, as with every hostel.

A GREAT PLACE WITH THE NICEST PEOPLE! The staff speak English really well and are extremely helpful. We became friends right away. The pool in the back is an awesome hangout and the meals they prepare are delicious! i learned my first Portuguese words there and they've stuck forever
The rooms are clean, the showers work!

Could be a great hostel... Once renovations are finished.

I have very mixed feelings about this hostel. Some good points include a great kitchen, comfy beds, good bar area, very friendly staff. However, staff helped us organise our onward travel and gave us incorrect bus information meaning that our 15 hour onward journey to Bonito took 28 hours! Also, the hostel is undergoing a renovation which we weren't informed about. Noisy drilling and banging starting at 8.30am was annoying and areas of the hostel felt grubby because of the work they were undergoing. The freezing cold showers weren't ideal either.

Although you can sleep on the overnight buses, it's not a great sleep. So I arrived in Rodoviára Foz do iguaçu a little drowsy and aware that I had only $2.35R on me. As always there are only some banks that take my card and there were none in the train station. The bus from the main station to the town terminal was $2.85R!! After waiting for the …

After 21 hours in the bus (yes, it did have delays), me being hungry (of course the peanuts wasn`t enough) and tired (2 nights in busses don`t provide me with quality sleep) plus getting a cold, I finally arrived.
This was the first time I haven`t booked anything in advance but I thought, other people do it all the time and they are fine with …

We woke up this morning to a beautiful blue sky, perfect weather for our last morning in Brazil. Overall we have been pretty lucky with the weather, only having 3 rainy days in 3 weeks and an average temp of 30-35 degrees. After a leisurely breakfast, we packed up our tent, made our lunches and set off to the Argentinian border only 15 odd mins …

    Chasing Waterfalls

I always said that our round-the-world trip would essentially be split into two: the World Cup and everything else (hence the title of my blog). With the final out of the way, we sat in Rio's main airport at the start of the second part, which is set to be a more conventional travelling experience. Our first stop was to be the Iguazu Falls, a …

We were up early to cross the boarder to Brazil. We took a taxi to the bus station and then had to catch a bus to the Argentina boarder where it would wait for us, once we had our passports stamped. We then got back on the bus and it dropped us at the Brazilian boarder to get our entrance stamp. Once that was all sorted we were allowed into Brazil …
