The large park next to the church housed the Russian Museum where on a little bank this tiny mower was being used, & again all the grass would have to be raked into piles & then picked up. Sorry this just cracks me up along with the name of a restaurant I saw. Also nearby is the Kazan Cathedral.

Today is Thursday, July 11th Our first stop was at the beautiful to Choral Synagogue where we met with a wonderful cantor who sang for us (he was trained in Miami). We then went to Catherine's Palace. This was followed by a fantastic lunch in Podvorie with flowing vodka, white wine and a Russian feast where they say Putin had his birthday party. We were ...

We had to watch for low bridges along ...

This place is great. It is clean and fairly quiet. The staff are very helpful and the place is fairly central. It is MUCH better than Godzillas in Moscow
