Travel Blogs from El Valle de Anton
Saludos! El Valle ended up being a much needed reprieve from the heat and humidity of Panama City. It's located in the crater of an extinct volcano at about 4000 ft above sea level. I noticed some foreigners around town on day trips rushing in and out of sites, but I seemed to be the only gringa that stayed for a couple of days. I decided to stay …

A few hours later around midday, the bus pulled into a service area with a restaurant for a half an hour lunch break, so we sat and ate our sandwiches while we waited. After lunch we carried on until we arrived at our junction at around 2.30pm, where we had to walk over a bridge to the other side of the road to wait for …

We stayed in a private double that is right inside the Orchid farm and had a lovely time. The layout is a bit wired as the shower was in the main building but the flowers don't mind you walking past with just a towel on. It was really cool to sit outside the kitchen and watch the local wildlife go about their business especially at night when the giant grasshoppers come out to play. Awesome!
