Left Bruges at 9.26am by train on our journey to Amsterdam, via Antwerpen arriving in Amsterdam at 2pm and then making our way to our hotel here - Max Brown's Hotel. The hotel is situated on a canal not too far from the central station. The train ticket cost $53 euro each. We only have two nights here before leaving on Wednesday 17 June at 1pm for Bali via Hong Kong and flying with Cathay. Found the hotel easily, and ...

After I wiped the drool off my chin and pried myself away from all the sparkly things, we headed over to the Rembrandt huis. This is the house Rembrandt lived, worked, and taught. They have gone to painstaking lengths to go through the catalog of Rembrandt's things and ...

... were very nice and were served with Chips and Mayo. We then wandered into De Nieuwe Kerk (the new church) thinking we would look at a beautiful church. Yes the church was impressive in its appearance but we were not prepared for the World Press Photo exhibition there. It was extremely moving as many of the pictures and videos depicted some of the most evil, cruel and sad events in recent history. As a human race we can be very evil and ...
