This hostel was one of the friendliest we have stayed in a long time. The staff are all extremely helpful, friendly and GREAT with our three children. Though the bar became loud in the evenings, the atmosphere was fun and Daniella went out and bought ear plugs for us to use. The breakfast was good, with cakes and eggs, juice and excellent coffee.

We treated ourselves and opted to fly to Puerto Iguazu as opposed to a 20 hour bus journey, it turned out to be a smooth trip with more leg room than our Heathrow - Buenos Aires flight! From the comfort of our sofa in Aberdeen we had booked a 4 bed dorm but halfway into our stay in Buenos Aires we quickly amended the booking to a private room...... …

Iguazu is the largest waterfall in the world and only a short flight from BA. Our first afternoon was spent visiting the tripoint border between Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay just downstream from the falls, locally known as "marco das tres frontieras".

On our second day, we woke up bright and early ready to head to the falls. We managed …

We are sitting in Hostel Bambú in Puerto Iguazu. We spent the day at the waterfalls on the Argentinian side which was an amazing experience. The falls are so big and powerful, it was a unique and overwhelming experience which is hard to describe. We also saw lots of wildlife: coatis, monkeys, toucans, a deer, giant ants, a catfish. We then had …

... and had more of a European feel than Bolivian. The next day we visited the zoo which had everything, except enough room for the big cats. Not cool seeing jagaurs and pumas moping around in tiny concrete cages. The other animals were all having fun though, although the monkeys had either escaped or were fast asleep. It was a Saturday so the place was packed full of family's enjoying the cheap B$10 entry fee ($1.50, slightly cheaper than Adelaide's zoo!). One kid was also ...
