... slow motion and nothing you can do to help. There are these poles in the middle of the trail to prevent cars from driving on the trails and someone ran smack into it and flipped over the bike. She ended up being fine other than a cut chin and a big fright. Glad I brought the spray I was given to for my knee so I can be of a bit of help. She was a trooper and got back on and we continued the ride. Had nice conversation with fellow bikers as we traveled through this nice town. ...

We get going a bit slowly this morning. We'll be taking the train back to Brussels, but stopping in Ghent for a few hours along the way. But first, we take a town bus to Bruges station. ... holding an antiques fair in one part of it. There were some lovely art deco bits there, but I decided to be restrained and not buy a thing. Although they were a bit more than I could afford anyway!

I went along the main river sides which were rammed with bars and restaurants, but none of them seemed appealing. You seemed to be paying for the view rather than the food so I gave it a miss. I did look in one place which ...

... night though. Sat around in the living room for a while with Lynn and Isaline (Joke and her boyfriend went off to the Gent Film Festival) and just watched a little bit of Archer, Wilfred (they DID NOT like it, my defense was it was the pilot, and Aussie humor doesn’t usually translate), and then we ended up watching 'Astrid in Wonderland.’ Some reality show about a hot Belgian model who lives in Hollywood. Odd, very odd. Then ...
