Having already spent several days in Santiago, we opted for something different and caught a bus headed for Valparaiso, on the coast. I ended up extending my stay in Santiago from three nights to five, by which time I felt the desire to move on. I enjoyed my stay in Santiago, being able to lose myself for a few hours in the parks, watching the sunsets overlooking the city with the stunning backdrops of the mountains that appear to change colour from shades of purples to blues....
