    ... the aquarium to the castle ruins and massive statue on the top - think much smaller version of Rio's Jesus. The view from the top was very beautiful. When I made my way down it was time for a lunch of the basque specialty -pintxos.     ... We almost have to put some string on Warren as his self-confessed dreadful sense of direction could see him lost in this area, never to be found again.

    Barcelona is a key port and many cruise ships come in. We watched one leave and two come in while we were at the beach. Strange to say beach. While there is plenty of good sand, the waves are a little sad, similar to Wynnum.

    ... the Amalfi coast. What an amazing coastline. Houses stuck to vertical cliffs!! Hanging on like limpets. Spectacular. Then a return visit to Rome. Only this time we didn't go to Rome, we went to a town to the northwest of Rome called Orvieto. We now know that every stop is either ruins or churches and this time it was churches, but some pretty good ones. The fifth of September, birthday and wedding anniversary, saw us in Florence. ...
