... snails decided that perhaps she was not such a huge fan of sea snails. We enjoyed our lunch and then went out on our promised spree for the girls - I had actually wanted to buy a dress which was cool and fitted the weather and heat we are in (as have not prepared at all for this). However we found this amazing hippy shop with so many nice clothes all really bright colours and cool designs - and of course we had to buy the girls a dress each and a playsuit ...

... putting their faces into the water was not going to happen in the deeper water. They did both do it in the water where they could sit and were happy to put the mask in for a couple of seconds to have a look. They did manage to see some little fish that were swimming in the very shallow water so they were happy. It was a really cool day and by the end we had the beach to ourselves. Hopefully we will have some more chances to snorkel ...

As the girls had been in the van for about 3 hours they went nuts in the super market with both Lil and roo doing the 'spare some change for an old ex leper' dance for most of the time we were there. Now as mentioned French supermarkets sell everything you might ever need and now we are camper van folk (or some might call us rubber tramps), there are things you see on site that other campers have that you must then also have. As Video Girl and Battery Boy walked from Rocamolesc, the exhausted shop assistant pulled the steel grille down across the front of the shop. Video Girl spun around as the metal grille hit the footpath and asked, "Why are you closing, it is still early?" "No mas de helados.", she murmured.

Video Girl and Battery Boy finished the day by walking to the northern boundary of the old town and scaling ...

... Julia (navman) soon had us on the auto via crossing the border into France taking us from the west coast to the east coast. The trip was uneventful other than watching out for the sneaky French motorcycle cops that hid under bridges in the shadows with their radar guns.

Considering the distance we had to travel today, Battery Boy thought it would be a good test to assess Video Girl's navigational skills to see if they had improved or not. ...
