... to explore the grand mansion which had colonial style grandeur from richer times, but a glory long past. Once there would have been servants and a bustling family life, elegance and grand gatherings, or so one can imagine. Since then the place has lain silent, till now, with the encentive of agrotourism feeding life energy back into its veins. We explored every room of the mansion; the grand upstairs dining room was a delight with its antiques and vast space and tall doors opening ...

Menorca is definitely a holiday island, it is much smaller than its neighbour, Majorca, seems far less developed and where this has taken place the villas or hotels seem to be on a much smaller, or higher quality scale. This might just be a 'rose tinted spectacles' view but it seems a pleasant place to spend some time and maybe with us being out of the main ...

... a long, arduous day on the boat, we rewarded ourselves with giant ice cream sundaes before heading home. A great way to spend my last day on the island. Despite everyone feeling pretty shattered, they were all good enough to meet up later for my farewell dinner and drinks. We ate at Zanzibar, drank in LAB and Prohibition, and finished the evening with a dance to some 90s tunes in Bar Cuba. As the flight home tomorrow was pretty early, we said ...
