We arrived on time at 5am and was starving but in south american fashion they dont know what the morning is, they think the morning is the end of a night. ... By 12.30 we were hungry and we found some shade under a tree where we stopped to have some lunch. After a dismal breakfast, we drove on to see Andean Condors - large vultures with a wingspan of approx. 3m. We managed to spot 1 and just about capture it in a photo before returning the the minibus to ...

      • We woke up early and grabbed some breakfast. It was pretty average. One quarter of a slice of luncheon, bread and tea.
      • We jumped on the bus and stopped off at a few small towns between Chivay and Cruz del Condor. There were locals selling alpaca clothes everywhere. I bought a scarf. Some of the locals also ...

... alpaca becomes more coarse and after five or six shaves isn't really suitable for processing anymore, which is when the alpaca becomes a great source of protein. I've got to admit the steak I got served was pretty tasty, but don't tell that to the alapacas we saw on the way back.
