Vanmorgen ben ik vroeg opgestaan om te genieten van de zee... en van de rest van Lima natuurlijk. Mijn hostal ligt 1 blok verwijderd van de oceaan. Op de malecon bevinden zich verschillende parken, waar iedereen komt om te wandelen met de honden, te sporten, ... of zoals ik gewoon te genieten.

The last stretch to Cusco is uphill again to 3715m at the Inca ruins of Tarahuasi.
We arrived in the late afternoon into Cusco, the Inca's capital and the centre of their empire.

... helped but the whole location of the lost city into perspective.

The evening was spent recovering after all the climbing up and down the steps of Machu Picchu.

On Monday morning we took the 8.45am train to Ollantaytambo, in the Sacred Valley. It was a great little town known for its traditional Incan design, with bubbling irrigation channels running down all of the streets. A very nice place indeed.
