The tale of Quito and the stolen passports....

Now the British Embassy has decided as of last year to no longer issue normal, standard passports at an Embassy itself, when someone reports one lost or stolen when away from the UK, but that now you have to send off for a passport to be issued to the embassy in Washington DC. We are picked up early the next morning by Henry and start our tour at The Basilica del Voto Nacional. This is one impressive building. High on a hill, lauding over the city, the gargoyles are animals native to Ecuador - iguana, pigs, boars and many more. Very Gothic......
