    Harry is Never Drinking Again

A travel blog entry by harry.harrison on Nov 07, 2015

... They would be one of those couples with a really pretty girl, inexplicably dating an aggro scruffy chav. And he looks like he drinks. Her friends tell her she could do much better and then one day she turns up with a bruise on her face which she says was from falling over but all her mates know that he's hit her. They tell her to leave him, but she loves him anyway, though her friends think she's just scared of him. They try to get her to get counselling or go to ...

... wet one day on the cycle and my picture was basically non existent. I managed to get out of Argentina with just a slight telling off and advice on how to look after my passport better but when we got to the Chilean crossing, I was almost refused entry! Four rather bedraggled people were welcomed into cabana accommodation, and the owners kindly helped dry our gear. We ...

... like it!!!! Luckily, we were sat on the drivers side, thanks to Neil forethought!!!! and didn't see over the edges. It really was a brilliant visit, so high up, we looked down onto the cloud base and valleys. They had two man chair lifts, because in winter it is their ski resort, we didn't really have time to go on them, so we went for a walk on the mountain pathway for a time. Soon, it was time to go and have some lunch. We stopped at a lovely old ...

Yet Another Border Crossing into Chile

    ... sky.

The exit stamp at Argentinian border was quick and easy, but the Chilean border, about 40km further along the road, again took a bit longer because of their biosecurity check. Their sniffer dog was incredibly cute though and watching it made the wait easier.

Once we were over the Andes the weather was a bit more overcast so we began to think that the expensive cruise/bus option might not have been so good after all. We had a quick stop in Osorno to ...
