    ... Included in the cost of the climb was the option to either get free bikes for the day or take a tour to the thermal pools. We chose to take the bikes tomorrow and they even said Maria could take one for free too.

    We booked a hire car for 3 days that we will collect tomorrow night so we can do a small tour of the 'River Region'.

    Having the hostel to ourselves, we decided to cook there instead ...

    ... material, but I was definitely stressing about what if the other students finished way before me. I'm thirty four years old....this is a general concern. And finally, when I go trekking with groups, I'm slow, I admit that I'm slow before hand and yet, I still try to keep up with the mass even though it can feel like my heart might literally explode. I had anxiety going into the trek up the volcano. I've had issues trekking in the past with my heart rate going so fast ...

    ... better. It was incredible, belching sulphurous smoke and the
    rocks were really hot. It was amazing to see snow right up the edge and then
    instantly the ground being so hot. Apparently up to two years ago you could see
    bubbling lava, but a couple of other connected volcanos have erupted lately
    which lowers the levels here – assuming no others erupt it will build back up
    over time until it is released again. There are signs all over ...
