Had a good lie in – just as well as new noisy neighbours
Came up with a delaying tactic, to wait until the weather
improves before heading south – am going to volunteer at a granja (a
smallholding) manana. Chief priority today therefore to get old clothes, shoes,
gloves and grub to go.
Also needed dosh as not sure when I’ll be free ...
We decided to stay an extra day in pucon to hang out with all our new friends we made. It was a pretty cold, dreary, miserable day so we decided to stay locked down in the hostel. Besides, there were no activities going on today.I decided that because we had a working oven, that we should bake a cake so we sent the hostel owner down the road to pick us up ...
... hours of walking isn't the best idea for someone with a broken collarbone... We ended the day with a nice omelette, more pisco and then drinks in an overhyped bar where it was happy hour all day every day (2 for 1 but drinks were double the price of other places...) On our final day in Pucon we had our night bus to Santiago to catch at 9pm so we spent the day exploring the town and chilling at the hostel before going back to our favourite pizza place - couldn't resist a round ...
Ruby: After a whole day of sitting on the bus, we arrived into Pucon at midnight, where we were greeted by the lovely hostel owner, Jose. He was having a drink in the garden with his friends and a few of the guests, and invited us to join them. Colin: One of the hostel's guests was a Londoner, probably mid to late 30s.
