Great hostel, with air con rooms and excellent breakfast - pancakes. Very sociable hostel especially for solo travellers and lots of information. Kitchen was a bit small but sufficient for what we needed

We enjoyed our stay. The double room was tiny and dark but clean and quiet. The washroom facilities were down the hall but it was a short distance away so it was fine. The staff were excellent - very helpful. I would stay here again.

Our family of four had the private family room. It was cramped and warm (no AC) but there were 2 fans and it was clean. We spent very little time in the room, hanging our mostly in the main open air seating area. The staff were very good - helpful and spoke english, nice for us. The kitchen had everything one wanted. The area around the hostel left little to be desired but it felt safe, just not fun and exciting. We would stay there again.

So we began by getting checked into our room at Mamallena's early, 6:30 am and got some sleep. It was much needed. When we woke we made some pancakes and had a long slow breakfast before decided that we would wander around old town, check out one of the malls and head to the seafood market for lunch. Claire decided to join us as Steff was sick (2 …

We arrived at night to our hostel the Roof, which certainly was different to all of the other hostels that we had stayed in. After hiking up the million stairs we got to the small reception. The room dingy and small but at least it had air con (you'll understand after visiting the coast that air con becomes your new best friend and the only …

It was sad to say goodbye to the boat crew but a couple of them we arranged to meet later on and we were keen to keep moving North back up to the coast so after an overnight bus and an early morning transfer onto another bus, we arrived in Boquete early Sunday morning.... unfortunately what we did not know was that no tours run on Sundays so there …

We tried to save a little bit of cash by taking the "midnight express" from Boquete to Panama City (no accommodation required). After a bit of a panic where we thought we had missed the midnight bus and would have to wait for the 3am bus in a dodgy bus station, we made it onboard what should really be called the "Arctic express". Despite extra …
