... captured some stills and made our way down in a smashing 2.5 hours!! We were stoked with our achievement, pretty nackered, and holding out for an ice cold brew. We returned to town and almost immediately after showers strolled into town to an American run joint called Lattitude 39 for more beers and the infamous peanut butter burger. Lizzy gave it ago, but I tackled the blue cheese burger, but wished I ordered the fish tacos. Day 3 was a chill day. A nice lay in, ...

Back in town we jubiantly celebrated making it down the volcano with a few beers and a catch up with Karen and ...

A decent meal of steak, wine and pisco sour then a night in a proper ...

... to enjoy it (partly cos i knew my torture was going to come to an end)!! At one point the guide even put his mobile phone on and we were sliding down to the accompaniment of music.

Then it was waiting for ages for the rest of the group. It turns out it took them 6 hours to get to the top, and it was hard work. Part of the group were Spanish medical students, and one of them (he was 23yrs) said that he was particularly proud as he´d used to do sport when he was young ...
