Route superbe au depart de Cuenca vers le sud, les camions sont partis vers la cote pour eviter les montagnes et nous avons quasiment pour nous cette route pleine de virages qui serpente dans les montagnes toujours plus belles, agrementee du parfum des eucalyptus: un bonheur!

... bus, got in. We left.
At the border we got out of the bus, filled in some paper at the migration counter, walked accross the bridge in the dark, passed some lonely military guys, continued to the other side's migration counter, filled in a paper again, crossed the street, where our passport number, age and occupation were registered manually in a black book and finally got back on the bus, which had followed us here. Welcome to Peru!

We left Huanchaco late on the 16th, having spent a great evening with a couple we'd met while staying there. We'd planned on getting to the Cruz de Sur offices to catch our 00.30am bus around 11pm, plenty of time to spare in case of last minute hitches. We'd been recommended to phone for a taxi as some are a bit dodgy late at night and were really pleased with the Takci Company car that turned up, comfy and on time.
