The hostel was very clean, had a bar, and one of the widest selections of free breakfasts I've seen. It had clean facilities and a very helpful staff.

This really was one of my laziest stop overs. I stayed at my favourite place in Antigua, Holistico - complete with free breakfast, snacks and rum! So all my days were spent planning my trip up to Costa Rica and finally updating my blog. I had a huge list of general life-keeping things I must do in Antigua. Afterall, I cant travel for so many months …

Of course upon my arrival into this beautiful town, I got lost, all the good hostels were full and I instantly caught a cold as the temperature was a little above warm …

How to best describe Antigua: "Colonial Central American Town meets Queenstown the adventure capital".

After our very very relaxing week at The Yoga Forest, we returned to Antigua to soak up the town and all that it had to offer during our lengthy stay. …

We made it to Guatemala after a huge day of travel through Honduras from the Bay Islands using a ferry from Roatan ($30) and a 12 hour 'Hedman Alas' coach from La Ceiba ($50). As we crossed the Guatemalan border quite late, we didn't reach Guatemala City until midnight and so decided to crash there for the night and head to …
