Hippy town Byron bay

Byron Bay

We decided to skip Surfer's Paradise as it was raining and didn't think it would be much fun...so we headed straight to Byron. We had heard amazing things about Byron so it had high expectations to live up to.

It didn't start well...the hostel we booked was meant to be $25 a night but when we got there they told us it was $30 and it was …

Had a such a good week here in the land of Oz! We left Sydney early Monday morning to go to a Surf Camp in Arrawarra. Most of the day was spent driving, we had a few stops on the way and arrived around 5pm. The weather was so awful - proper monsoon rain!! It just didn't stop, so the camp site was completely flooded. We had a great BBQ in the …

Playing Spot The Hippy at Byron Bay

A travel blog entry by bpippert

As I've already mentioned i didn't schedule my trip very well and i literally just have enough time to get to my flight in Sydney. So, Byron Bay was a really short trip. The bus rolled in town as the sun was setting (it was actually on on really spectacular sunset) and I had to leave early in the morning. But, of what i did see in Byron Bay …

The guys who work there make the place, its everything you could want and has not even a hint of city life about it. Everywhere is chilled, easy and at night, a party. It's across from a bar which gives endless discounts and freebies out every night and was the best place I have stayed thus far. PROPS HOLIDAY VILLAGE!
