We went up and down the bunny hill a few times practicing at very slow speed although trying to skate up the hill with one foot strapped into the board felt a bit cumbersome. There was a 45 minute break for lunch, so we headed into the village café for some overpriced food. Und da es auch in Banff Hot Springs gibt, die allerdings gebuendelt in einen Swimming Pool abgeleitet werden, wurde dieses Angebot (wieder so ein "deal", nur 10$ fuer ein Schwimmbad mit einem Becken, dass ich bei einem Kopfsprung nicht lebend verlassen wuerde) auch noch genutzt. Morgen wird die Gruppe erneut umgebaut und es geht nach Kelowna - da soll immer die Sonne scheinen, mal sehen ob das stimmt. In jedem Fall schonmal adé Rockies!

A Tale of Two Mountains
... for me. I really don't like them at all!! Always feel like they are going to plummet to earth and take me down with them. At the bottom of the mountain was our reward - a nice soak in the natural hot springs. They were 39 degress centigrade so we were advised to only stay in there for max 20 mins otherwise you would start to boil. Trans-Canada Highway - just spectacular!

Vancouver, we read about a section of the river where the Fraser and Thompson Rivers meet - the water in the Fraser River is brown while the water from the Thompson is blue (it comes from the glaciers). We stopped in the little town where this occurs and you could clearly see where the waters meet - they gradually mix together to form just the one colour.

Les montagnes en Amerique ne sont pas comme en France, elles arrivent sans prevenir: tout a coup, sur une route bien droite,la chaine apparait a l'horizon, toute entiere, comme sur un dessin d'enfant; il n'y a pas de "petites montagnes" avant pour nous preparer, et c'est toujours un moment tres fort.
