... huge observatory, practically get to the top, have a quick look out and around and then head back down the "down" winding winding staircase!!! OK so going up was not so bad....... Going down was a bit slower going, and Sam was much more comfortable as long as he was on the immediate step behind me!! It was a great experience and I'm glad we can all say we have been to the crown of the Statue of Liberty. All the boys did an absolute awesome job to make it all ...

... the shuttle from the ship to Penn Street Station which is less than 1 block from our Hotel, so we walk. My first impression of New York …its big…The buildings are taller than Melbourne and the area the city covers is huge. There are people everywhere and its noisy. It reminds me of Bijing. Its going to take me a bit to get used too.

... seen the movie but I was told I'd hate it if I'd seen the movie so it worked out alright. After the show we checked out Times Square at night, holy **** balls you could almost wear sunnies it's that friggin bright, we went into the massive toys r us store, it had a bloody Ferris wheel inside!! ... with tables outside and had a beer for afternoon tea. Continued walking along east side of Manhattan by water and then across Brooklyn Bridge built in 1954. Hundreds of pedestrians and cyclists doing same. Metro home and another ice cold beer to revive us. The two of us dined outside at Two Leaves which has some New Zealand connection.
