The HI Montreal was a superb place to stay. It was really easy to get to the hostel from where the greyhound drops you off, with clear instructions from their webpage. The check in process was very simple and you can feel a good atmosphere from as soon as you walk in the door. The rooms are very clean, neat and simple (linens and towels are included). They run activities through out the week and are lots of fun. There are pub crawls and interesting walking tours of the different parts of the city. I would definitely stay again and recommend this place highly.

I absolutely loved Montreal. Loved it!!! It's now my favorite city in Canada and, actually, one of my favorite cities anywhere. It was just brimming with energy and vibrancy, people were happy and busy and engaged and passionate; there were so many events and activities going on - indoor, outdoor, free or otherwise; I had no problem speaking …

This morning we met our tour guide, her name is Beth. She is a local girl from Montreal. Our tour group is tiny with only two other people. They are both women, Kat from Scotland and Sabrina from Lichtenstein. It looks like its going to be pretty much a private tour!

After breakfast, Beth took us on a walking tour of Montreal. We walked …
