Shark Diving!

In the evening we arrived in Hermanus and had an early night ready for our shark cage diving the next day. Bright and early after breakfast and being sized up for our wet suits we headed out on the sea excited to catch a glimpse of some great white sharks. Just as we are called for our turn to get into the cage, Ish turns a strange shade of green …

Set off from Cape town in our VW Citi Golf for a two week road trip around South Africa. First part was to see the Cape Peninsular and to round the Cape of Good Hope. We set off down the scenic ocean roads path, driving the famous Chapman Pass over the mountains. It reminded me a lot of the Lake District or North Wales or Scotland, couldn't quite …

September 30th - After saying goodbye to a few more of our companions our numbers dwindled to just seven. Having rented two cars we said goodbye to Cape Town and drove along the coast to a place called Hermanus. A sleepy town famous for whale watching and shark cage diving. Having arrived late we only had time for a quick beer and a burger before …

We head East so we can take the coastal route out of Cape Town. We want to visit Strand, a gorgeous holiday beach area just …

We stayed in their separate cottage. Couldn't ask for more! Huge kitchen. Great rooms. Comfy bed. Pool out back with yard. Really lovely. Perfect for a long stay. Shame we were only one night.
