... booze was free but we had a pretty sore head from the night before! Our next stop was a village visit. Ladies had to be covered up here, and you couldn't wear sunglasses or hats as it was disrespectful. Brian and Bryce ( a Samoan dude) were made Chiefs! They were shown what to do during the ceremony. ... me to actually hate the cocky *******s who had dared to purchase such tickets allowing them to 'jump' the queue!). When we finally did make it to the desk we were told that we would be required to wait for our tickets as they did not have a printer available at the front desk and that all tickets had to be printed from the office! ... Day on the beach, awwww. The night ended with craziness in the hostel swimming pool at 2am-What better way to finish Christmas off! Day three Never in a million years did I think I'd spend Boxing Day bamboo rafting down a river. After a traditional Kava ceremony in a local village, and meeting the chief, we saw how the young local boys worked out-By collecting bamboo and steering tourists down the river on their man made rafts. ... each, and got our snorkel gear straight away. The snorkelling was on a whole other level to Mana. There was a lagoon just 15 feet out where the water went almost a luminous blue colour and the clarity was surreal. There were even more tropical fish and my GoPro really came into action.
