    When I heard my tour was stopping in Serbia, I really didn't know what to expect or see. My knowledge of this small country was riddled with images of destruction and chaos during the war with Kosovo.

    That left Zoran, Dunja, and me to tour more of Belgrade. We started out in the oldest part of Belgrade called Kosahcicev Venac. This is the part of town where the whole rest of the city grew from. At the present time, this area has become a haven for artists.

    Ušće Shopping Center

    We visited the USCE shopping complex on our way back to Zemun. It is the biggest shopping mall in Belgrade. It has a food court and digital cameras! The camera Junko bought in Budapest is on the fritz. Half of the display is out and appears black.     After the walking tour Lindsay and I hit the grocery store. We could not find one at first - naturally it was underground. I thought the street entrance was for public toilets. When we got back Marco stopped us and said could not go into our rooms because they just sprayed for bugs and it would take about 15 minutes to dry. But of course it was not poisonous as I guess it was just water they were trying to stop cockroaches with.
