    ... complained about not going to Belgrade and that he has to pay more money to finish off the journey. I could tell the lady behind the glass wasn't impressed, but didn't have a leg to stand on because we were in the right. Eventually she refunds all four of us with the difference which wasn't a lot but could get a bus to the city centre.     ... so graciously took my bag,opened doors and provided information; nothing was too much effort and all was offered so genuinely.

    This theme continued when I arrived at the hostel, 1001 Nights, after midnight. Concerned that I made it safely and making my bed up for me (this never happens in a hostel) and in an empty room so that we would not disturb any sleeping guests. The Serbs have the most amazing

    ... that will be left as a reminder) everyone was silent. I was thinking back to our experience years ago at the Hiroshima Memorial with the shell of a building silently left to remind the world of the devastation of war.     ... at the hostel told me the reason for this is that Belgrade is such an epic party city "party hostels" or "hostel bars" wouldn't survive.

    ... and was glad to hand them over a counter to a smiling old lady in the first shop I came to. After much confusion with a calculator she called for her daughter and eventually left with some supplies.The two ladies held the biggest smiles id seen in a while when taking their photos - after which they gave me a selection of chocolate bars and a bag of nuts so big it filled my whole basket.
