Hanoi, Vietnam je_to_fajn... fat maradonna parading round the sideline. Good lad, but shame you can't remember any of it because you were neckig tequila at 9 in the morning! Few more days, get me the **** out of this place before I die. It has now been 4 weeks i the same hostel, plus the 2 I spent before I went to Peru. That's 6 weeks out of 52 of the whole year - mental!...So...and off to Argentina...Will things get better...will they ****!...DETOX time. And I actually suceeded for like a ...
Hanoi, Dac Lac, Vietnam maj029... price is so cheap: 120 USD for the 4 days trip. But no, it was an excellent choice…
I did the 4 days trips trekking in Mai Chau. It is not a hard trek. My girl friend can do that quite well. Especially, the people are so nice, friendly and so much different from the touristy one in Sapa. We have a guide go with us and a local who prepare the meal for us. They are lovely and ...
... had to get up early and make the four-hour journey to Ha Long Bay, we decided to go out quite large - warmed up with some Bia Hoi before going in search of where the locals go. After finding ourselves in an escort bar (admittedly it was where the locals went) we gave up and instead found a restaurant where much to the bemusement of the staff we stayed until the small hours polishing off their vodka supply.
Hanoi, Ha Nội, Vietnam jiewuI had planned on writing about something else today but at the end of todays classes it was reported that our high school will be closed tomorrow due to a case of diagnosed swine flu with one of the students. The hard to understand thing is that her Dr diagnosed her 3 days ago and her parents continued sending her to school and its possible it might have gone ...
Hanoi, Vietnam mrcwoodsman... crowd favorites are "Kocking on Heaven's Door" and "Hotel California." With all that activity, it was very easy to sleep in my quarters on the boat.
Ha Long Bay really is a pretty sight, and well worth the hassles of arranging the trip.
Across the plains of the north.
This afternoon I leave on the night-train to the northwest to view Sapa, which is a gateway into the mountains of Southeast Asia. Wish me luck.

... a pretty hard life foe such a great leader.
Next stop is the temple of litrature and the meseum of fine arts once again no photos in the meseum of fine arts. We check out of hotel and leave our suitcases in storage at hotel.
We have dinner at Cafe 36 (best coffee in Hanoi) and then it's time to collect tickets from guide and get onboard train for overnight trip ro Lao Cai.
A whistle and a few rattles and we are on our way.
... we. One more interesting experience with Vietnamese hospitality. It ended up the mausoleum was closed so we checked out some sights in the area and then caught a cyclo (cycle-rickshaw) back to the lake area. We stopped by Legend Bia Hoi (Pub) for a Bia Ha Noi and the overhead view of the crazy traffic below - you have to see it to believe it so we took a video (http://vimeo.com/4414284). 9am the next morning we arrived at Old Hanoi Restaurant for our cooking ...
Hanoi, Vietnam arikandcharis... of their population in less than 5yrs. As sick as this may sound... the guy was efficient! Exit Phnom Penh enter Sihanouk ville. This place was by far the most enjoyable for us, we rode another bus full of staring Cambos to the sleepy seaside town of Sihanouk ville. We stayed at a great little joint called Mick and Craig's and I can guarantee you... not one of the staff looked like a 'Mick' or a 'Craig'! We spent most of our time sunning it down at ...
Hanoi, Vietnam ryanandbek... the coin, but there's a dull sterility on the other side. I've heard such positive things about travel in Vietnam from a few friends, and even after a day or two I begin to realize that I'll certainly want to come back to the country again, even though I've seen only a few blocks of one city. The frequent smiles I remember from Thailand are back, prices are low, and I feel an involuntary smile of my own jamming at the corners of my mouth as I walk. Sidewalks ...
