    ... finally will enter the United States of America and the day we officially leave Spanish speaking countries. Our ability to absorb this language was ridiculously poor and we’re both pretty ashamed of that. Our flight departed Puerto Vallarta headed to Las Vegas via LA. Mexico could not have been more fun. The highlight for certain was seeing all our friends at Battas and Iris’s wedding and we’ll always have the photos from the Eagle Rock.

    ... The portions are so small the boys can count the pieces of meat in their Tandoori dish. My dish is supposed to be minced chicken sheesh kebabs, but it looks like anaemic veggie sausages chopped into small pieces on a bed of white cabbage! Totally unacceptable and to add insult to injury it only tastes of garlic. Needless to say I complained to the waiter, then the manager came, then the chef who insisted the food was as ...

    Today was all about relaxing and catching up on sleep. A day of pure laziness and relaxation.

    I did manage to take a walk early enough in the morning to discover that the winds were still high and the red flags were up which means that it is too dangerous to swim in the ocean with the undertow.

    ... we had drinks at a bar, where I ordered the litre of Mango Michelada which was accompanied with a picante chamoy. I have no idea what this chilli stick was, but I tried it, much to their amusement. SO STRANGE. They add chilli to everything here!
