We arrived safely!!!!

A travel blog entry by jw.jm.travel on Aug 07, 2014

After 22 hours of travel, we have landed in Bangkok, Thailand! Both bags made it, we are exhausted, but thankfully the cab ride process to the hostel was smooth sailing. The highways looks very much so like Toronto! The hostel is on the same road as the Soi 38 night market and is clean, which eases my mind a bit given that it's my first hostel …

So I made it to Bangkok without any major disasters...actually no minor ones either. After panicking and rushing through the transit stop to the boarding gate in Sydney and then realising the plane wasn't even boarding yet (classic Jenna) I ended up talking to a young guy who was on his way home to London after working for the last 8 months on a …

Asia, the final chapter!

A travel blog entry by reubenbecks2012 on Mar 12, 2013

The flight was good, plenty of nice food (!) and booze. We arrived at half 7 pm and took a while to work out where to get our visas, after filling in loads of paperwork and organising photos and flight plans, it turns out we didn't even need one. Good old British passport. After collecting our baggage and withdrawing our 9th different currency ( …

We're all spending two weeks together in Thailand before parting ways - I will be heading to North of Thailand and hopefully more of Southeast Asia by myself, Jamie is heading to Australia via Malaysia and Singapore and Charlotte is coming …

The staff are great, the location is great, the place is clean. The beds are the hardest beds I have ever slept on. The rooms are small but overall I think value for money

We had a nice stay there in this small guesthouse. We felt very welcome and the service was good. The rooftop was amazing - nice view and very cosy. You could even have a small breakfast, conflakes or sweet toast. The neighborhood is nice with small food-shops. Our favorite restaurant was Thong Lo. Internet-café, Karaoke-Bar and restaurant in one place.
