... small inside but really impressive.
Ended up at Karlskirche which was way cool as they had a lift and scaffolding inside as they are restoring the frescoes and you can go to the top of the scaffolding and get up real close to the paintings on the inside of the dome ceiling and go upinside the top of the dome and look out over the city.
After last nights drinking and dent in my wallet I decided another night of cheap culture would be good ...

... at the palace, 42 can be viewed; we saw about half of the 42 and it probably took a couple of hours to do that. After touring the rooms, we went to an outdoor cafe at the Schönbrunn and had weiner schnitzle bigger than your head. It again, of course, was delicious. We then boarded a train to go up to the Gloriette which is still a part of the which is a pavilion located on the highest point of ...
Vienna, Vienna, Austria cathycrossHere at MUDEC, we are required to take two classes which have a traveling component. Our first class trip was this past week with our mini-field study course. My course is called the History of Western Music, and our field tour was to the beautiful city of Vienna, Austria. We left from the Chateau on Wednesday afternoon and took a 3 hour bus ride to Cologne, Germany. In Cologne, we then boarded a plane and flew into Vienna. Once in Vienna, we checked ...
Vienna, Vienna, Austria marissa.surmacz... a walk around the lake. Then we bought some food for the train trip. Eventually the little electric train took us to Poprad, and after half an hour the regular train took us to Vienna. This was the reverse of the pretty trip we had taken across Slovakia ten days ago. The train was very crowded, but almost everybody got off at Bratislava and we rode the train almost by ourselves the rest of the way to Vienna.
Vienna, Vienna, Austria skicabin... Reichsbruecke to Schwedenplatz. Then I started around the ring. Along the way I saw Urania (the city's first observatory, now used as a youth center), the Postsparkasse (Postal Savings Bank) in Art Nouveau Style (called Jugendstil in Germany and Secession in Vienna - don't confuse it with Art Deco), the Museum of Applied Art and the City Park with its statue of the Waltz King Johann Strauss Jr., before arriving at Opernplatz. The square beside the opera house was one of the ...
Vienna, Vienna, Austria harrellrl... Renaissance and Baroque. In total, there are 8 different collections and all are equally beautiful. This museum was a great place to learn more about the history of Vienna and Austria. The entrance fee with a Audio Guide is about $30.
Vienna, Austria izwijacz... most of the time, the place reakes w/ sweat & dirty socks. It also doesn't help that i have to wear the same clothes everyday. I decided to pack really light for the trip which consists of: 1 jeans, 2 shirts, 2 long sleeves and 1 sweater. I did buy a jacket in berlin because it was getting freakin cold. but, all those elements are exceeded by traveling and seeing new things everyday. you don't know ...

Salzburg, Austria melinda4419... same name, but I was burnt out and exhausted, so I kind of was ready to leave as soon as we got there. Stefanie A. and Terry had already left, so my walking home partner was Stef Britton, but she kind of refused to leave, which I was sort of angry about. Mike offered to walk me, but it was too far out of his way. Reluctantly, Stefanie eventually left and we walked home. By the time my head hit the pillow, I was out cold. What a [insert negative emotion here] day.
