After spending a couple weeks outside of the big city, I was not ready to go back. However, I had a meeting with a school that I had to be at.

I ended up picking an AWFUL hostel at first, it was dirty, the bed was uncomfortable, AND there wasn't any light. Awful. Not a good start back into the city. The next morning I checked out and …

This time round I do what I failed the last time. A free guided tour of the city. It's 3 hrs and led by a very enthusiastic Argentinian, Sol. She talks us through the congress buildings, the now squatter inhabited opposition house, the current prime minister, coffee shops, tango lessons, the pink house & evitas window & the dictatorship 76- …

Buenos Aires is a lovely spot. No choc ices, but lovely nonetheless. We opted to stay in the boutiquey and bohemian area, being somewhat boutiquey and bohemian ourselves. Palermo is the name of the neighborhood and it's full of bars cafes and restaurants. And boutiques of course. Needless to say we mostly frequented the bars and restaurants. Our …

Other than the city itslef, there were two things I was very excited about in Buenos Aires - my lovely friends Claire and Lucy were coming to join me on my travels! Having had this booked for months, it came around very quickly and was a reminder of how fast the time was flying. We were due to travel from BA to Rio together, which was my last stop …

Buenos Aires:

Well here's to the start of many blogs for our round the world trip. We said an emotional goodbye to our parents, especially my parents (Chris) and I have to admit I was holding back the tears and trying to be strong. Sophie and Joey (Chloe’ sisters) drove us both to the airport along with Jamie (my brother) to keep us …

    Nice long stay

I stayed at Hostel Suites for a few days, and it was a nice place for a long stay. The staff was generally helpful (some weren't as helpful as others). They have plenty of activities to plan and they help you get anywhere. It is also very clean and well kept.

This hostel is in a good location and we had a huge private room with a balcony which was great. There are quite a few common spaces though so it was hard to socialise.
