I decided I wouldn't head to Antwerp as I wasn't feeling in the mood for big cities as they are just too exhausting so I decided to visit Mechelen instead. It was still raining but this time I sensibly put on a coat. Again I parked right in the middle underneath the main square but there wasn't really much to look at. We had the usual muesli, delicious bread and home made jams. It may seem we are obsessed with food but it was a big step up from our usual fare.

We walked to the ...

... soon.

I was relieved when we arrived at the platform and boarded the train. We could sleep for an hour and a half until our arrival in Paris. As I snapped a few photos of the French countryside, Suzie and Eunice were already dozing.

Because there was no direct train to Brussels from Amboise we had to make a transfer in Paris. Once we arrived, we took the subway from Austerlitz to Paris Nord. It seemed ...
