... 228m surrounded by wild mountain ranges and forest, great for any outdoor pursuit you can think of, and in winter it has some pretty damn good skiing apparently. In the summer it’s increasingly a mountain biking and walking venue - you can use the ski lifts to get up then cycle down which sounds awesome, but we had no kit so save that one for another time. The first stop on the tour was the impressive Shrine of Remembrance, located in Kings Domain on St Kilda Road, which was originally built as a memorial to the men and women of Victoria (state) who served in World War I, but is now a memorial to all Australians war veterans. Headed to Dee and Jeff's place for dinner in Fitzroy at their gorgeous Appartment with the rooftop garden with a fantastic view of the city. A lot of laughs were shared over a fabulous meal. The end of another special day with friends and we feel so blessed by them all.

... football / rugby stadium and a huge cricket stadium. In the last mentioned stadium is also home of the national sports museum. Steve tipped me about it this morning and it was really worth it. Dutchman Guus Hiddink is also mentioned.

On the way back I walked to the Shrine of Remembrance. As in Sydney the memorial to the victims of war is big.

Tomorrow a day trip to the Great Ocean Road.

... and join us tomorrow for our drive along the Great Ocean Road.
After lots of shena****ns with dumplings ("4, not 2, 4, 1-2-3-4"), and thoroughly enjoying them, the kids went to bed, and I got my hair coloured!!! I guess my roots were driving Christine crazy! So, in her living room, with a glass of wine in hand, Christine helped me become a blonde again. Yes haw!
