We have finally arrived in Croatia and are currently staying on the scenic Dalmatian Coast in the city of Dubrovnik. The Dalmatian Coast is named after the popularity of dalmatian dogs in this area (but I have yet to actually see one)! So, here's hoping!! Dubrovnik is described as "paradise on earth" because of how beautiful the beaches are here! The water is so clear and crisply refreshing!! Fact of the day: ...

... actual accommodation, so we gathered our things and set out on the short walk down the road.

Luckily our new place, whilst not a private apartment with a sea view, was still nice nonetheless so we quickly freshened up before heading to the beach. As it turned out the 'beach' wasn't quite what we expected - more huge rocks than golden sand. ... to stock up for breakfast, wine, etc - another challenge - and back "home".

We are now sitting on our patio, enjoying the view and watching the the cruise ships
leave and the huge private yachts come in. All just wonderful. We have to pinch ourselves to believe it is true !!!

The views in reality look much closer than the photos show. What a place and Judy found a real diamond for us to view the world go by.
