Corner Buckler Street and Grampians Road, Halls Gap, Victoria, Australia

A travel blog entry from Halls Gap by josh1988KT: The drive to the Grampians was pretty long and straight with rural farmland on either side. As we got towards the Grampians they started to look impressive. Pretty hot and we stopped for some information. The guy explains it's going to get hotter - 40 degrees tomorrow! And we thought we'd be escaping the heat, but it gets warmer up here. The...
A travel blog entry from Halls Gap by ktandsteveAfter the Great Ocean Road we headed north up to the Grampians National Park in our little rental car. This is when we first really noticed how bad the drought is in Australia at the moment. The land is so parched and brown and nothing is growing. Animals are grazing on little more than the bare soil and the remains of recent bush fires are visi...

A travel blog entry from Halls Gap by basmaartjeHey everyone Hope you are all well? Another update for you from my time in the Grampians, which are a 90km stretch of mountains in western Victoria. With some flukey timing on my part I managed to get on a VLine bus on Friday to Halls Gap, the main town in the Grampians. The bus only started a month ago and only runs three times a week so it wor...
A travel blog entry from Halls Gap by sharonmanshipWell, what a red necked feral town this turned out to be. A little harsh perhaps but the locals were weird. Nice beaches around town and good shopping centres out of the CBD but very dissapointing. The only highlights were the YHA hostel and guests and seeing Dutch Tilders at a pub only 2 blocks away. That's all I can say.
