      Niagara Falls - Day 1

A travel blog entry by matthew-thomas on Jul 25, 2014

Today was another driving day as at 11am we gave a sad (yet triumphant) farewell to Cedar Point. After watching movies with Tyler whilst Zac navigated, we arrived at our Hotel a minutes walk away from the falls. We had TGI's for dinner and then took a look around the American side as well as a snazzy firework show which I'm sure you will see pictures of at some ...

In the end, ...

... spend in the car in one go. Fortunately this is probably the single biggest drive we have planned. After an overnight in a hotel, we drove the short(!) 90 minutes down to the Falls. I've seen this before but 20 years ago from the Canadian side - this time we were going to get close, really close. We boarded the Maid of the Mist putting on the sensibly provided ponchos, and took our places at the front of the boat. ...

We hiked the gorge with Sandy

... of Eric's parties too, that was fun. At the boxing day party, I saw Jason, Joe and Kirk, but no Shylo. That was sad.

We went to the gorge with Sandy on boxing day in the afternoon where I haven't been in a while. It was a good day to do it, because the next day there was a lot of snow.
