Russias Capital
Took the overnight train from Kazan to Moscow. Given the hour it left there wasnt much time to do anything other than watch a video and sort photos prior to going to pulling out the bed. Was in the aisle again but this time had the bottom bunk.

We arrived after an over night train journey. I got stranded with a couple of weird Russian in my cabin. It was an interesting night. We arrived in gloomy Moscow after a 9 hour journey. Over the next couple of days we went to see all the famous city's of the city. Highlights included the massive Red Square and the Kremlin. We attended the the …
Russian capital city!
Moscow is around 700 to 800km from St Petersburg. For this journey, we took the high speed train and reached Moscow in 4h30.
On arrival we had to experience metro rush hour. Moscow metro is very badly signed and obviously almost all in Russian to make it more fun. If you don't understand Russian, then you have to count the station otherwise you …
Hello Moscow
I had a rocky start to the trip, my well planned arrival to Moscow was scuppered when my airport transfer was over three hours late, leaving me stuck in (a really rubbish) airport at 11.30pm with a pack of Taxi touts watching my every move - I was ready to have a mini breakdown. However after a ****** night’s sleep, and the ‘keep calm …

After packing and unpacking a record number of times I finally decided which skirts to bring and which tops to leave behind and Mark was very supportive thoughout this stressful episode. Godzillas is not very good. The place is huge and ther e are people coming and going all the time. That makes it noisey. When you go into the lounge it is usually packed. The kitchen and main bathroom are both upstairs. The location is not very central. I sorry I have paid for 4 nights or I would be moving today. I got moved to a top bunk and asked for another room they sai all full. Their website says there are at least 4 beds available. I saked for private room again they said full but website says available. The website says they book train tickets but they dont, I have to go to the train station.

Godzillas is a good hostel and provides what it advertises. It is however still at least 20 min to Kremlin and other tourist attractions. It is a bit too far for my taste in winter months. The staff is very helpful and speaks good english. I would stay here again in summer and spring months.
