Edinburgh Got the train to Edinburgh via Preston. Its wierd how many places in the UK have the same names as places in Oz. Theres Perth, Camden, Penrith, everything. Edinburgh is a beautiful city. Especially at night when everything is lit up with christmas lights and what not. It doesnt even feel like a city. Old buildings everywhere and no sky …

I have only been in Edinburgh for a few hours and already I love the place. Our 350 mile drive from Nottingham flew by because we were engulfed by spectacular green scenery. We have won the lottery with the weather since we got here but today was the first sign of dark clouds. Amazingly they cleared up once we got to Scotland. It …

This is beginning of our three week European backpacking trip. It begins in the city of Edinburgh Scotland for two days. The Globetrotter Inn hostel …

We also saw the grave of Greyfriars Bobby, a Skye Terrier who in the late 1800s …

A (wee) way from the city, although they do supply a free bus hourly to and from. Breakfast is o.k,and there is a bar, and a nice view of the sea.It can't have been too bad,as we stayed here for 4 months(in fact some stayed years, and met wive's there)
