... for Austral in the State League, after playing at Bristol City, Cardiff City and in New Zealand. Kevin now coaches at Brisbane Force and somehow copes with ALL grades, from U/15's to the seniors, five grades, plus he does a private coaching lesson for U/10's on Friday night and Saturday morning. He also does a full two days casual teaching during the week. Busy boy!!
We went back to their place and Friday night and drove down to South Bank for a wander ...

Before our weekly coffee making at Salvation army cafe we went to Jamie Olivers for dinner to treat ourselves:) luckily we got there before the queue was out the door. It was beautiful inside and all the staff were lovely:) we had shared polenta chips, risotto chilli rice balls and had a pasta dish each:):) it was deeeelicious:):) no wonder its Jamies most successful restaurant ever opened especially when it was so reasonably priced for being in Perth ...

... the evening time as the city lights come on. It was also a prime location to watch the Australia Day fireworks display. Australia Day was bright sunny and hot but there was a lovely cooling breeze from the river. Southbank was buzzing as it was the focal point for the celebrations. We had a noisy start with a flagraising ceremony followed by a twenty one gun salute and a fly past by the RAAF. It was only one jet but it made plenty of noise as it swooped down right ...
