... TV to keep me occupied. I landed at JFK and went in search of my shuttle. This was a little difficult as I couldn't find anyone to help me. Finally I found the right person but then got told itd be a 50 minute wait. Fortunately, the driver showed up within 15 mins and we were on our way. Hop on hop off bus tour through the down town. Windy and cold weather - 5 degrees. The conductor was very informative, gave the history of each place visited. Over all visited 22 places in the ride. ... have clued up tour guides like us) so we donned our red bin-bag style ponchos and set sail. There weren't any sails but you know what I mean.

Guy was right about it being the best view, and it was also the wettest. The Hornblower took us right past bridal veil falls and into the cloud of mist at the centre of Horseshoe Falls. Finally, a few words about the New Building - Freedom Tower. It is currently the tallest building in the US, rising 1776 feet into the air; it HAS been built to withstand any force of nature or terror. Its elevators and staircases are "protected", hopefully never to be needed for such a deed as this.
