... still see the crater and its shape. I've taken a lot of pics of the skyline of Auckland coz it looks different everywhere you go.

I can see why people don't like Auckland coz it is just a city and they get stuck in a rutt of just going out and boozing all the time but i've learnt the further you go out of the city the more there is to do and the more you can see.

Next stop Hamilton and who knows whats in store there!

Much love

Jamie

xx
Auckland, North Island, New Zealand jammie_traveler... this weekend - one that I don't think we will forget. We are certainly very happy to be here, but as always are impatient to have everything sorted. It feels very strange going from the security of two jobs and a nice house to one job - all our own doing we know :-) No one said that it was going to be easy..................let's see how we will feel after being here for 6 months :-)

Auckland, North Island, New Zealand nzbo... have been interesting. First of all they're not called courses in NZ they are called papers: How many papers are you taking? Which papers are taking? Are you liking your papers?-- That's taking a little getting used to! The second kind of different thing is that no one buys their textbooks here. They have this thing called short loan(located across the street from the library-inconvenient) you go and check out materials for TWO HOURS I ...
Auckland, North Island, New Zealand hanhanmarie... it , as I have most of the ingredients. Here we are waiting to be picked up from our Hotel in Singapore to go to the Airport, for our flight to Melbourne. -(actually we had just had a very nice `Long Island Iced Tea' ) , and for those of you that think this is a nice `cuppa' ----it isn't:):) Finally, and this is really it.... relaxing in Marion's lovely sister Vicki's lounge, her other sister Gill came to visit us, spot the Pink Bottle -any excuse:):):) I cannot ...
Auckland, New Zealand mablim... My time in NZ was incredible. I met a slew of wonderful people that I have every intention of seeing again. Emer and Anne, Grif and Tom, Dani, Rachel, Marcus, Sarah, Scott and Ben. It was the most social and fun place I have been so far. I ventured into landscapes I had never experienced before - glaciers and volcanic wasteland; in my bungies and skydive I experieced something that lies completely outside the normal mode of day-to-day existence. New Zealand, you rocked my world.
Auckland, North Island, New Zealand belahanratty... t been following me because I have NO idea where to go!" We all hit it off and wandered around the grape fields until we finally found Stonyridge, gorgeous estate! We then met another guy, and then had myself the America, an Irish girl, a Welch and an English guy. A diverse crew! We had a great time and all took the ferry back to Auckland, and I wound up going out with Sara and one of her dorm ...
Auckland, North Island, New Zealand dholtze... seventeen hobbit hole facades. We decided, however, not to take a tour of the place because the guidebook states that "the set retains little of the pastoral English feel created for the film". In Whitianga we treated ourselves to a campsite with all the mod-cons. The following day we walked for 40 mins along a hilly coastal track to Cathedral Cove - a long and sheltered sandy beach. We ...
Auckland, North Island, New Zealand dancoughlin... Wellington one of our food destinations and it did not disappoint. Great fresh food. From Wellington we hopped on to the ferry to cross over to the South Island onto Picton. We quickly checked into our motel and were promptly picked up by our wine tasting tour guide. Winetasting: New Zealand is an up and coming international wine producer, they are especially known for thier pinot noirs and whites. Ernie and I will attest to the very nice wines to be had. Our tour ...
