      Good size rooms with a strong a/c. Pool very private and has a good location. Bit of a walk to the beach

      We set our alarms to get up early as Langkawi is more of a daytime destination, so we wanted to take full advantage.       Today after an hour long delay at Kuala Lumpur airport we finally made it to the island of Langkawi......it is paradise! From the aeroplane all you can see are large mountains of rainforest and endless clean beaches, we could definitely get used to this!       ... in the 20 metres of chain it proved almost impossible. After nearly killing myself I finally managed to haul it all in as well as half the seabed. My brilliant white swim shorts were a little less white after that. Beers in the pool and happy hour on the beach at Rebak marina capped another great day of sailing, even if we only actually managed to get the sails up in the afternoon. 30 more miles for our log books meant 210 in total for the week.
